St. Peter
WELCOME to the St. Peter, Minnesota
Kiwanis Club web site.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.Kiwanis defining statement, adopted in October 2004.

As members of the Kiwanis Club of St. Peter, part of Kiwanis International, we strive to fulfill the Kiwanis vision of changing the world, one child and one community at a time.  We take pride in performing many community service projects in the St. Peter area to help serve children and the community.

We invite you to become a member of our club.  If you are interested in community service and helping the children in our area, we encourage you to learn more about the St. Peter Kiwanis Club here on our web site and welcome you to join us for a meeting.  You can get more information by clicking on the Membership Info selection in the toolbar at the left.  You can then join us for one of our Thursday  meetings.  The St. Peter Kiwanis Club normally meets for breakfast at 6:45 am at Gustavus Adolphus College.  Our meetings are fun and informative, with speakers that address a variety of current topics.

In addition to becoming a member, there are other ways that you can help the St. Peter Kiwanis Club and your community.  If you have an interesting topic that you would like to talk to the Club about, please contact club secretary, Rich Helgeson, at 931-1303 or email to HELGESON20@msn.com  The programs cover a wide variety of topics and are broadcast over cable access television in St. Peter, so the information is available to the entire community.  Another way to help is to bring your empty aluminum cans to the “Kiwanis Kans for Kids” trailer in the EconoFoods parking lot on Minnesota Avenue.  All the money raised from the recycling of the aluminum goes to projects that help children in the St. Peter area.

A new service project for St. Peter Kiwanis is the Vial of Life (Lifesaving Information For Emergencies) is a program which allows individuals to provide medical information in advance that can be used by emergency personnel in the case of an emergency.  To see more about this importan program, see the information below:

Vial of Life Project

We feel that the Vial of Life is
such an important program for seniors and others in need. We are proud to offer Vial of Life decals to our community.

We want to thank American Senior Safety Agency Medical Alert Systems for their donation of these decals to our organization.
